Ram wakes up with a weight pressed down on him and sunlight beaming down on him he looks down to see flowing blonde hair hiding a head that is nestled on his chest he moves a little and the head moves to look at him
Isha speaks what time is it Ram? she gets up and walks to the bathroom connected to her own room before she comes back and speaks to him don't look so shocked Ram we didn't sleep together I think we just fell asleep talking after awhile you kept saying her name in your sleep you know? too bad you didn't tell her how you felt when you had the chance
Ram looks at her after the last statement to sees a smirk on her face he throws a pillow at her and lays back on the bed with a sigh
Priya didn't get the chance to see him after she left the club It was already 2 a.m. when she was on her way to see him but she chickened out and went home instead
She wakes up and groans at the sunlight shining on her face damn sunlight . . .she growls as she rolls out of bed to wash off the makeup she forgot to take off last night
Maybe since its morning . . . she can go see him then again they didn't really say much to each other last night she washes her face wear her cloth before she goes downstairs her mom is still asleep since its sunday so Priya slips out of the house in silence
What is she going to say to him? hey I sort of like you? maybe he'll laugh at her they don't want to marry each other but she can't help but like him again she gets in her car and drives to Ram's house again this time and give him the excuse to research for a way out of their engagement
She takes out her cell phone and texts Ram back from his last message hey u totally ditched me last night What gives?
Ram hops out the shower feeling much better after it he had left Isha's thirty minutes earlier and returned home he notices his father's aston martin outside from his window and idly wonders what they would be having a conversation about today
Ram is already angry at too many people today his mother for this stupid marriage Priya for talking to that guy and himself for having feelings for her he regrets sending that message to her that never would have happened a week ago he vowed then that he would keep his feelings in check around Priya from now on she's just another girl he keeps repeating this in his head not noticing his phone vibrating
Priya doesn't get a message back from him after a while what was the point anyway? he doesn't live far anyways she drives onto the driveway before putting it on park there's another car on the driveway that she didn't notice yesterday might be Ram's dad's car her heart beats too fast that breathing becomes difficult she walking up to the front door and slowly lets herself in
Ram's parents are in the other room talking and doesn't notice Priya coming in she quietly but quickly goes up the steps towards Ram's room and walks in then sees Ram in nothing but a towel around his waist
Oh my god sorry didn't think you didn't have clothes on she exclaims as she turns away and gets back in the hallway Priya's face is completely red from embarrassment only been seeing each other for two days and she already saw like that
Ram frowned when Priya waltzed into his room and then ran back into the hallway he pulls on a pair of jeans before opening his door and motioning her in he walks into his closet looking for a shirt to put on he says while searching I guess you never heard of knocking did you Princess?
He walks out of the closet and stares at her with a blank expression
What do you need? he asks while slipping on a white t-shirt
Cool shirt by the way she comments yes I've heard of knocking she rolls her eyes thought I could help you out with getting out of our situation like we did yesterday she lies
She notices he doesn't seem as friendly as he did last night looks like Shruti was wrong about him having feelings for her
She sits over by the window and takes her sandals to stretch out her feet
And thanks for noticing my emotional change when I saw you last night it means a lot to me and thanks for giving me back my bag she says to him with a light smile
Yeah whatever Ram pulls one of the large book off the shelf and sits in a chair on the other side of the room
He begins reading the book in earnest before there's a knock on the door he opens it and Isha walks into the room before seeing Priya and sharing a look with him
Priya you remember Isha she came over to help me figure out how to get out of this situation he says in a serious tone he sits down on his bed and begins reading again while Isha grabs another and joins him
Oh . . . goodie Priya says in slight jealousy before opening the law book and going through it
They sit in companionable silence and he can only wonder what was going through Priya's head
Why the hell is she here Priya thinks to herself there's no need for Isha to be here since their engagement is her and Ram's problem she sighs in defeat he really doesn't have any sort of feelings for her just a one sided crush
Every once in a while Priya would look up to glimpse at Isha she seems to be reading the book as serious as Ram is she hasn't tried to make a move on him every time Priya took a peek what was Ram thinking about all of this? Priya is already feeling tired from the frustration not only that Ram isn't showing the same Ram she saw last night on the balcony she's starting to miss him
Isha stands up after an hour and stretches before announcing she had to go meet her mother for lunch she plants a kiss on Ram's cheek with promises to return later and throws a glare at Priya before leaving
Priya saw that Isha glared at her and watches her questionably as she leaves Ram's house
Ram had done well so far ignoring Priya he hoped she had got the message already he continued to read on until he heard a start the car he gets up and walks towards the window he leans over Priya to get a good glance as his father pulls out of the driveway on his way to a business meeting probably
His father was never home and he sometimes wondered why his mom stuck around for it before dismissing the thought
What the hell was that she asks Ram your girlfriend glared at me before she left
He hardly said a word to her the whole time and didn't even say anything to him wanting him to say something first did he go back to hating her again?
Priya closes her book Ram what's wrong? did I do something wrong?
Ram looks down at Priya before walking back over to his bed she isn't my girlfriend just a friend and I can't stop her from glaring at you Priya he picks his book up and begins reading it again before saying and no you didn't do anything wrong Priya I don't care what you do or who you do it with for that matter Ram was almost shouting by the end of the sentence maybe you should go Priya he says looking at her with a blank expression she was getting a rise out of him and Ram wasn't settling for that again
She stares at him bewildered what the hell are you talking about? you mean that guy I was talking to last night? she remembers her text message from last night are you angry about me being with some guy?
He still stares at her with a blank look
Whatever you saw was nothing he came onto me and I wanted nothing than to be alone while you were having fun with your friend in the VIP room she says almost to the point of shouting then she stands up before she leaves to his room If you think I'm stupid enough to go home with some guy I just met you got me all wrong I did nothing with him . . .she hisses before slamming the door behind her and runs back to her car
She needs to do something to let off some steam anything she looks in the back of her car and notices her bat she smiles before driving off
Ram watches her go from his window before noticing someone in the room with him he turns to see Krishna with a grim look on her face
Not now mom he says grabbing his keys and heading to the garage he jumps in his fathers camaro and speeds off down the road where did she get off yelling at him? she had crossed the line first when she kissed him he was perfectly content with hating her until then how dare she he intends to find her and let her know just that
Priya finds herself at the edge of city before she gets out of her car bat in hand and grinding her teeth in anger there's some abandoned cars parked on the road and only tramp hang out in this part of town adrenaline rushes through her as she grips her bat harder and takes a hard swing at the windows no car alarm perfect
She takes another swing at the front window completely shattering the glass she smiles as she breaks the side mirrors and dents the car completely she goes to start on her second car when she comes to her senses and curls in a ball trying desperately to hold in tears
What the hell am I doing? going back to my criminal ways over a guy? she growls dropping her bat on the pavement
Ram's best friend since early childhood Vikram dumps paint on s blank canvas in his garage trying to make a messy collage of colors he's really bored nothing to do the whole weekend he hasn't gotten a text from ram since thursday he mentioned he had some important meeting but didn't explain what it was about
Vikram takes his cell out and texts Ram dude what have you been up to? you've been quiet since last week What happened at that meeting you had to go to?
Ram pulls up to the pier and sits on the front of his car staring out at the ocean he has found no luck looking for Priya and had simply gave up he's now waiting on his buddy Vikram to meet him so he can update him on everything that had been happening lately he was sure his friend would freak once he found out that his best friend is to be married Vikram of course had heard of the marriage contract but he probably dismissed it.
Ram takes a cigarette out his pack and lights it before placing it in his mouth he lies back on his hood awaiting his friend's arrival
Vikram's father came around when he got his text from Ram he was complaining about some girl that got caught disturbing the peace downtown by destroying abandoned cars with a bat his father is a cop and this wasn't the first time he complained about a girl about his age causing mayhem around city
Vikram puts on some light clothing to protect him come to meet and finds Ram
Hey sorry for the wait what's going on?Vikram asks as he sits next to him with his feet in the water
What's up bro? Ram takes another drag of his cigarette before recounting the weekend to his friend
He tells him about Priya and the marriage contract how they had at first hated each other he told him about her kissing him at the beach and lying to her about it the next morning in her hangover state he tells him about Isha and then he tells him about last night at the club and their argument earlier in the day
I can't believe I like her but I hate her at the same time
I know I remember seeing her around when we were younger I was never around for the fights though you usually told me about them a day later after your war like battles he chuckles can't believe it man . . . you're getting married must really suck to have to get married to some chick you've been enemies with for so long
So that's what has been going on no wonder he hasn't heard from his best bro in forever he sighs and brushes his hair out of his face
